"Painting The Essence Of Tuscany"
A Customized Art Experience Workshop
Discover all of the artistic treasures in
Florence,Italy through watercolor painting
and creative explorations with artists Rosie Huart & Trish McKinney
Rosie Huart will teach collage techniques, with mixed media allowing
the essence of Tuscany and Florence to permeate asoulful experience.
Rosie is a nationally acclaimed mixed media artist that was recently
included in the Pikes Peak International Water-media Exhibition,
Memphis/Germantown Art League Exhibition and the Ohio Designer
Craftsmen Best of 2006 Exhibition. Rosie has been teaching creativity,
paper-making, calligraphy, and painting since 1987. Rosie will bring
her spirituality and sensitivity to her students while they attempt to
capture the spirit of Tuscany in their work as it relates to their own
spiritual journeys.

Trish McKinney will teach plein aire painting with watercolor by
exploring the surrounding countryside of Tuscany and the beautiful
streets of Florence. Students will attempt to capture the beauty of
Italy through their brushes and
paint. Trish McKinney is a nationally and internationally recognized
watercolor artist who has been included in the National Watercolor
Society Members Exhibition, The International Society of Experimental
Artists Exhibition, and
Waterclor West’s National Exhibition. Trish has been teaching
workshops for over 16 years and will bring her exciting, bold style of
teaching and painting to her students.
Participants will stay at the beautiful Villa di Maiano - a 15th century hamlet situated in a charming position between Fiesole and Settignano with breathtaking views over romantic hills, lush wooded countryside and olive grooves, just 15 minutes from the centre of Florence. Hospitality is offered in cozy apartments located at the heart of the hamlet (once a cloistered convent), on a 300 hectares estate.
Participants will experience a feel for historic Italy in their actual surroundings.
